Today, I'd like to go over some reminders and share with you some updates to the Play Nice Policy.

Reminders

Campfires do not play into camp ownership. You don't need one to claim a camp and putting one down doesn't claim a camp for you. The amount of petitions that we get that have the words "they didn't have a fire" is too high. Here's a longer posting about camps: https://forum.monstersandmemories.com/d/98-community-update-camps
GMs/Customer Service does not give information about drops. Not what, who, where, or how. Why? Because it ruins the mystery. They will confirm if there is a known bug but, please, don't petition "I have killed Asweapa 20 times and the halo hasn't dropped." That's either a bug or bad RNG. If it's a bug, you should use /bug. If it's bad RNG, you need to get good.
The naming policy also applies to mounts and pets. This includes names of political figures as well as other players and staff. Please do not troll people with "/pet rename Derelicteisafalsejudge" or make a statement with "/pet rename Oswaldwasinnocent".

Play Nice Policy Updates

We are removing the line about line of sight from indoor camps. With the advent of Fallen Watch, there are a lot of camps that are not LoS and the line was confusing. What this means to you is that you will have to be more diligent in checking to see if someone has a claimed camp while also making it clear that you have claimed a camp.

Previous:
Indoor zones: A named mob and any mobs within line of sight of that named mob.
Updated:
Indoor zones: A single room, corridor, hallway, or confined area.

We are also adding in a line about campfires (see above):

Player campfires do not affect camps. The lack of a campfire does not mean a camp is not claimed nor does the presence of one indicate that a camp is claimed.
