Title: Level 13 Enchanter feedback: more to do once the camp is stable

I’m level 13 and mostly grouping with friends. I love the idea of a dedicated support class. My main concern is that once buffs, debuffs, and crowd control are handled, I often have very little left to contribute actively.

Our group varies, but commonly includes an Inquisitor, Monk, Cleric or Shaman, Elementalist, and myself. We’re fighting level-appropriate white and yellow cons.

The Inquisitor overlap stands out. Our tank can mez multiple enemies and has a shorter-duration Charm. I understand the abilities aren’t identical, but at our camps, the Inquisitor can already cover much of the control we need while also tanking. Once we establish a rhythm, I’m often feeding mana to the healer or swinging my melee weapon.

Charm itself works well for me. The problem is how weak the creature becomes once charmed. Maintaining one for damage doesn’t feel worthwhile, so I mainly keep Charm available as another control option. When our smaller group needs more damage, I wish I had a useful way to help. Soloing also feels difficult.

Similar concerns appear in other community feedback: players can value Enchanter’s buffs and emergency control while still finding ordinary fights passive. Some higher-level players enjoy the class’s group role but also question Charm’s payoff. Others have suggested bringing back more active ally support through something like a reworked Enchant Ally. That direction appeals to me.

I’d like the team to consider:

• Making maintained Charm a worthwhile damage contribution, with an appropriate cost and risk.

• Giving us more active ways to improve our teammates’ damage through timing and target selection.

• Reviewing the practical advantage Enchanter gets from specializing in control when a tank can cover the needs of the same encounter.

These are early-game impressions, and I’m interested in how the experience changes at higher levels. I want to keep playing Enchanter. I’d just like more useful decisions during the fights where our group is doing well, rather than waiting for something to go wrong.
