So, two things I want to bring up with my fellow people who want to play Bards.

Currently, playing songs has no impact.

We watch a bar go up and twist to the next song, but somehow the class that is literally about making sound and music has no SFX. Now, I totally get how spamming this could be annoying for people, and I also understand that the devs are a smaller team with a lot to do.

I still think, though, that we need to have audio effects for our songs. Even if it's just a simple chord or note per song. I'm not saying it needs to play a full-on, loud theme—just a chord or drum pattern depending on the instrument being used.

If there needs to be a checkbox for people to turn the effects off, I'm totally okay with that. It just sits wrong with me that we're a musical class with no effects, yet I can hear a skeleton laughing nonstop or the WAHHH of a spell going off over and over.

I really would like for Deep Elf Bards to be a thing.

This is more me being selfish, as I could make a Wood Elf and travel below, but a lot of my friends want to start as deep races, and I'd like my main to be able to start with them. I also just think Deep Elves are neat.

On top of that, we currently have no Bard options for the deep races, so I feel like we need one anyway. I know the devs can have it via an unlock after the fact if they want to add it later, but honestly, unless I can race change in-game at some point—which I see as highly unlikely and I am ok with that being unlikely —I don't want to have to level the same class again just to have the race I would prefer.

What I'd really like to know is: What races do you all want to see as Deep Elf Bards?

Also, feel free to add any other Bard flavor ideas you might have. I'm not talking about stuff for the rework, like mez and shouts, etc. Just stuff we don't currently have that you'd like to see added for the Bard, since we already have plenty of threads about the rework.
