Brettanomyces
At level 22 I can barely take down a green cultist outside AC and that's in part because I can barely use my main class defining skill in a solo battle
This is kind of when I retired my Rogue. I have weird play hours, and finding a group was really difficult. I actually did hit level 20 by solo'ing the entrance mobs INSIDE of AC, but I was super twinked and hella buffed. I remember only doing that because my group had all logged offline, but not before buffing me to the gills. The exp was decent and fast.
But then I went to Fallen Pass around level 21-22 and almost died trying to solo 2 different mobs, so I realized I wasn't going to be able to play the Rogue anymore. For context my Inquisitor of the same level solo'd the same mobs easily, but it was really slow due to low damage. Now granted, I'm not the most knowledgeable player. Perhaps there were better places I could have solo'd. I also didn't really try range kiting or anything.
And I was fairly geared. I can't remember the name of the dagger I used in my main hand, and I don't think it's on the wiki page because I just skimmed over it. But it was only slightly worse than a Surgeon's Razor. My armor was mostly stuff that dropped off of level 35-40 mobs, and I had the 5% haste cloak from WB and I still got absolutely rekt.
I have mixed feelings on what to do too. I want to play a Rogue, but I feel like I should probably level something else first and twink a Rogue later when more items become readily available because they felt kind of subpar with high level twink items. I can't imagine leveling one with low level weapons and having much impact in a group.
Yet that's a double-edged sword because it may actually be easier to level a Rogue at launch when many more players are grouping and stuff. If I wait too long it may be hard for a Rogue to find a group, and I could end up in a similar situation of not being able to level a Rogue because they can't really solo anything and I play late at night when most people are sleeping.
