If you remove Charm you say two things as a developer:
1) Classic mmorpg players who played the controller role should not play this game,
and most importantly
2) Despite what you claimed, you confirm that you are unable to make a classic mmo, neither as it was in the old days, nor as an updated version that keeps intact the same mechanics but tweaks them to make it all better.
Removing Charm would be as if they removed Buffs, or group content, or slow paced methodical combat, or the Support archetype.
It is literally a major element of what made the old mmorpgs what they were, especially those that inspired this game the most, namely Everquest.
Only Daoc had more Charm usage.
And it's a gameplay that is totally absent in modern titles.
Why are you even playing this game if you hate the idea of Charm so much? How can you even claim to want a classic mmorpg experience? And what gives you the right to decide what to pick from the old mmorpgs and what to leave behind?
I get giving feedback, but come on. At some point there must be basic concepts of MnM that are set in stone that should not even be up for discussion, the existence of Charm being one of them.
I know that it makes creating and balancing a class tougher, but that's the task you set up for yourself when you decide to develop a classic pre-wow mmorpg.
