Since the charm pet now does 1/5 the dmg of the active mob, you'll need to charm swap several times per mob, which means 4, maybe 5 times as much charm mana. Before, you could often get by with just a single charm, and have both mobs down to a sliver on just that one cast.
You can slow the active mob to reduce charm swaps. But now you have your pet dmg cut 80% and your active mob dmg by 50%, which makes for a VERY slow fight ... and adding in what you spend on slows and the extra fight duration means your overall savings isn't much. Hasting the pet is even worse, as that's a very expensive spell to cast at least twice every fight.
