Resist, Resist, Fizzle, Fizzle, Resist, Resist..

Hello!

I'm a lvl 29 shaman, I solo quite a lot.

I'm farming blue con mobs (skills are maxed to level cap, and I do not fight red con NPCs). I debuff (MR) on pull and my next cast is Root. This is what happens sometimes, not all of the time, but quite often to call this an issue.

Fizzle
Resist.
Resist.
Resist.
Fizzle.
Root finally lands.
Root breaks in 3 seconds.

All of this on an MR debuffed blue con NPCs.

I understand that this isn't EQ, I also understand and accept that resists and fizzles are part of the caster gameplay and also root doesn't behave like it did in EQ but I believe that something is off here, the player experience can be frustrating more often than not.

Please look into fizzles, resists (to lower lvl NPCs) and constant and short term Root breaks.

Nazgrimn I managed to avoid my group getting ganked and hiding in a corner to cast gate, saw the enemy group round the next corner and come running down the hall at me right as Gate finished casting.

Critical fail.

42 silver down the drain. Womp.

I think, sometimes, Murray the RNG Algo Hamster gets a cramp in his leg and stops on the cam lobe in the RNG wheel right where fails show up... Murray needs a better diet!

fizzles, failed gates, zero chance at channeling.. fun times. I still fizzle level 16 spells with maxed skill at level 40, commonly. I've had 3 collapsed gates in a row... , at level 40 the odds of me channeling a gate while 3 fire beetles attack me in the noob yard is about 0, if i did manage to perform the miracle of the century, and channel though one of the 1 point hits, the gate would surely collapse.

best i can tell, fizzle% chance needs to be cut in half, collapsed gate chance needs to be cut by about 80%, and channeling needs about a 500% increase to effectiveness, to be remotely close to EQ.

As a wizard, watching a spell with a 3.5 second cast time that costs 1/5 of my mana bar get 100% resisted back to back feels devastating. And it happens surprisingly often.

Ap0calopsy yeah full resist are fucking brutal. should be a method in game to recapture some of that mana when they are fully resisted.

I humble bump from me. I'm now playing a monk (love it!). Just now, 3 consecutive Feign Death Critical Fail at lvl 21, skill capped. I honestly don't think that should ever be the case.
