I haven't had a chance to test these changes yet, but I want to be positive for a change and say that with censuring strike gaining the same threat as slam the class is probably viable again as before the revamp I could just tank using nothing but our 2 strikes and some strategic scintillation hits, only enchanter pets would rip aggro from me and while that was annoying it's probably more enchanter being OP than some big inquisitor flaw.
I'm sad that nothing was done to reduce the recast on pillage mana, still would trade it for a mana regen aura in a heartbeat. I don't think it deserves a spell gem at the moment unless you find yourself in a spot where you always have a caster to tap whenever it becomes available (The only level 60 spot that qualifies atm is probably FW, but I haven't seen enough of it to be sure it's universal there).
There's a flaw with the design of both our mana draining spells: Even when using both in conjunction: I you're gonna drain a boss, you aim to completely drain it sufficiently fast for it to be worth the mana cost and the sacrifice of 2 gem slots, for me, anything less than getting a named oom before it reaches 50% of it's HP is not fast enough considering the very high cost of draining. And draining makes absolutely no sense if you cannot prevent casting, so it is not even worth doing it at all if you cannot drain fast enough for your target to be oom before it dies.
There is a flaw with the design of our damaging abilities, they cost way too much mana to be considered worth using in a group setting ever. I can conceive that some ppl may think they are nice for soloing or in a duo with a healer, but the problem is that they are lumped together with very useful utilities, making the cost of said utilities absolutely prohibitive. RM debuff is super useful, but it is not worth 1/6th of my mana, draining mana is super useful, but it is not worth 115 mana for a measly 400 mana burned. I would absolutely love to see a D tier pure damage spell introduced to satisfy the soloers while removing all damage components from the distress and manaburn lines, then these would become very useful indeed and I would be glad to use them when I need to.
Reflecting bash suffers from the exact same flaw. The drain component probably justifies the slow recast, but that just makes us lose our status as anti caster specialist. Fighter just can interrupt a mob more often than we can with kick, shield bash, clobber and ogre bash.
Finally about the slow I think it should be an aura too. I would rather have a slow aura than a haste one even thought the haste one is very nice to have, A slow aura would be truly badass, would not need to be high, 10% stackable slow would be a complete banger for the class and a unique signature ability.
