Stormvale Shamans in EQ do not melee, nor are they hybrids.

You have no idea what you are talking about. Shaman is the DEFINITION of a hybrid class. How they manage to tank is irrelevant to the fact that they can absorb reasonable damage. And with buffs and a vast selection of weapons they certainly can melee while the dots tick. Its clear you never played the class.

It wasn't passive at all. Because you are factually wrong repeatedly. Which is something Id expect from someone unfamiliar with the game. You chose to ignore the fact that other classes have core mechanics tied to tradeskills. Its ALREADY something MNM does. You just dont like it. It IS however an established mechanic in the game and as such my alchemy suggestion fits the design principles thus far shown by NWC.

Im just reading the documents they published and the things they have said and done. And pointing out the glaring missing pieces.

Stormvale Your suggestion forces every shaman into alchemy because you've made the reward much higher than anything else by far; and if they don't choose alchemy they will have to constantly buy these potions to unlock their class power. Again, just like with placed objects - core class mechanics and power should not be linked to a trade skill or a placed object.

This is the only thing I kind of disagree with. Having a class built around trade skills isn't, in and of itself, a bad thing. Although I don't think it does/should apply to MnM's version of Shaman.

The "vision" is whatever they want it to be at any moment. The enchanter doc says "masterful conductor". What does that mean exactly? Are we seriously going to define the class by these early descriptions? It might as well say placeholder. The game is in development, obviously.

What does that have to do with anything? Why do they have to ask? I thought you trusted their vision, you know it so much better than me - you're the one explaining it to me after all. If you don't care about archers not liking their traps - why should anyone care about you losing a pet?

Do you think they carved that in stone or something? What makes you think they are married to that in any way? They could rework the class and call it "anti-spirit no pet master" if they want to. Clearly things can and do change. They were open enough to show you the scaffolding and you hold it over their head like scripture. Also; your snide comments toward me reveal that you may be overly invested. You seem to react to my opinions as if they are personal attacks, they aren't.
