Respectfully I have to disagree with a few of your points.
I think there are lots of precedent for Dwarves to be rangers and bards as well as casters. Dwarf Paladin / Cleric might be the most iconic thing a dwarf can be (maybe other than fighter) I don't think dwarves are "stupid" they are just not one of the super intellectual races. But I do think they are considered a wise race in most fantasy lore.
Dwarves are jolly and sing songs and play instruments, several have used bows, rifles and crossbows in various fantasy content over the years in several genres. I can think of several Dungeon and Dragon modules that revolve around dwarf lore that supports this. Read (or watch) the Hobbit, multiple dwarves in that company are archers/scouts and would be considered "rangers" if they had a "class". As far as caster, real life mythology, Norse lore, Dwarven Rune Lords.
Just because dwarves are drunk doesn't mean they can't play instruments either, a lot real life successful musicians have had substance issues and perform while intoxicated or high, I see no difference with a dwarf being drunk. Dwarves can handle booze better than anyone and although it is canon that they drink a lot, not all dwarves drink, it is just a very common vice, not a cultural requirement.
Cheers mate :-)
