This is outright wrong.
The events that took place were a simple debate about FCT and why it wasn't being implemented to which I was met by nothing but negative responses (don't forget that I was banned not the ones who were clearly raging and hive minding), when I dug deeper (asked meaningful questions and proposed meaningful options) it clearly seemed to irritate the status quo of the nerd hive and the GM came in swiftly defending his personal Viewpoint.
Clearly Trent wanted FCT specifically to stop being talked about by the Pro FCT, if that is NOT the case why were the only people who were banned the ones that were promoting FCT? There was a second guy who was also talking about FCT being something worthy of bringing in and he got a ban too. None of the more antagonistic hive mind who clustered together to actually be rude and demeaing to an otherwise legitimate conversation so much as warned were warned or banned. (Sorry I used the term banned too loosely, I'll address this later in this response)

If the GM wasn't actively abusing his powers, I would drop it.
But the more he does this the more Ill keep at it, until i get a response from someone more mature that can let me know they are at least talking to him about his flagrant abuse, and blatant attempt to shut down any FCT narrative and even use it as a reason to ban (block me from chatting for 10m, then 24 hours) When I had sent no more than 15 messages on the subject, and clearly wasn't causing issues, but was offering suggestions and asking actual questions the Hive mind danced around until they could paint me as the bad guy enough to make me out to be the bad guy. It was clearly a social psyop on some level, and I can;t say for sure, but it seems like Trent the GM is totally compromised emotionally by the topic of FCT.

Honestly its great on my end, you folks are the ones walking blindly into trusting this Team (clearly not questioning anything, including Trent's inability to articulate any reason to actually halt the conversation that lasted 10minutes and where no name calling or normal silencing offenses happened) to make something worthy of playing, and while they are pretending to wanna hear about topics, but in the back end Trent is doing something totally different. I don't mind the cacophony of Pollyanna going on here I think MnM has a bright future, but there needs to be a way to look at and hold a Moderator/Dev accountable for jumping the gun, as he did with a very normal civilized conversation that at most mentioned someone touching grass once at most.
No cursing, swearing, name calling, or other issues happened, just some people disagreed, called in GM back up and within 10-15 messages and questions I was blocked from chatting. This is not normal behavior even if you think FCT has no place in the game. I mean the guy followed up, and even has revoked my Beta access now. Hes totally acting out emotionally, and no matter the game or project I have never seen anyone go this rogue to silence someone in a professional capacity and on this level.
Name I don't want FCT or care about that but am wary of unnecessary censorship / over-moderation.
Thats fine, I accept that, and I was willing to have an adult debate on discord, or this forum, and was actively trying to ask questions with people who were clearly being the aggressor/hive mind and who seemingly called in the GM to shut me up. The whole "We have no Plans for that" means don't talk about FCT because you will literally get blacklisted, as clearly Trent immediately sided with the no FCT crowd despite them having said some of the rudest things during that conversation to get me to shut up, and avoid answering any real questions. Despite if Trent likes FCT or not, and despite if the others like FCT or not that is supposed ot be the channel (MnM Discussion) for feedback and suggestions and to chat with other players about the game and how they feel about systems, ui, gameplay elements and more. The fact remains I didn't do anything wrong, I spoke about FCT. Some didn't like it, Trent didn;t like it and it was used as a reason to silence me.
He just blocked more messages, and then removed my accounts access to Testing as well. Like this guy is literally emotionally unwell and because he's a GM and we have a bunch of Beta males in Discord suckling the teet he's waltzing around like he's untouchable, and taking this into categories a manchild would. I wont stop until this is addressed by a GM more mature and respectable than him, especially after he's literally went scorched earth because of a FCT conversation and me calling him out on Discord, which by the way is absolutely where I am supposed to call him out.
Name it's probably better for more people to be there talking about a mix of things including things that won't happen,
I tried to do that, but I had to also bring it up what the GM did, and it needs to be brought to light because humans are not perfect we cant just assume Trent isn't a manchild parading around and abusing his power, so he needs to be looked into, especially after literally removing my access to beta at this rate.
Name and then they can either accept it not happening or leave on their own if they wish, vs. being frozen out with 'the discussion has run its course'.
Exactly, I honestly when I was chatting it up didn't see anything wrong at all with the topic or the way I was behaving and when I got the Ban (not actual ban, chat silence on disc 10m) I had literally assumed he had to have been talking to the hivemind of nerds who were literally being the antagonists of the topic, and that I was free to resume. I guess Trent and I were typing at the same time, and his message came like no lie maybe a second or two before I hit enter.
Name Not a fan of them locking his other whining thread either - people should have the right to complain about anything and for it to be discussed, and we can use our judgment to either ignore, be annoyed at them, or you, or whatever we decide.
And that's why I am a back, and I don't think this looks good for them to condone this kind of behavior.. and on top of that Trent took the privilege after all to remove my access to Beta. Blocked my account from messaging the forums, and basically blacklisted me on many levels. he is clearly not performing his duties in any professional manner, and taking things too far.
Waffle_Goblin Making posts about how YOU don't like what is happening is not something GMs need to tolerate. Reading your OP on this thread leads me to believe this is 100% an issue of you didn't do any sort of reading or research on your part, got access to a free beta, and are now complaining because you failed to read.
1) I did not make posts about what I dont like is happening, I was asking what the decision was for not having it, and then finally asking why there were so many hardliners against it being a toggle, so that those that enjoyed FCT could have it (potentially allowing thousands more to enjoy the game) and a toggle off for those that dont want it. Thats when I was basically told to be quiet or catch a silence. I didnt know it was directed at me, and the final warning went off like 1 second before my last question and he silenced me. There was no silence about those who kept talking and ragging on me afterwards, as they didn't like FCT. If you truly go look at the chat there was clear favoritism you cannot deny there (unless the GM went and deleted parts of it too)

Correct, I was using the wrong word. I was not banned from the discord, I was banned temporarily from speaking, I used that term too loosely but it was not an attempt to paint myself in a different light.
Growlron There are features that have been discussed and the Devs have been very clear from day 1, they will never, under ANY circumstances implement them. Examples include, In Game Dynamic Maps, Gear Transmogs, and FCT.
Okay, so that justifies them banning people for asking why, or offering options to appease both crowds? This is a part of the issue actually, just because you don't like something does not mean it gives you the right to attack someone. I mean this GM quite literally just banned my account from speaking at ALL on the forums now, hid some of my messages, and then removed my access to the beta. He's literally going to keep hearing from me until I see this discussed. This is wild that this guy even has a job moderating, I've never seen anything this unprofessional in my life (going on 43 years old now)
Growlron The devs DO NOT CARE about the communities opinion on these features. AT ALL. Its there game. They are going to do what they want. They answer to themselves as they are full self funded.
Thats fine! I dont expect every inch of every game I play to revolve around me, but this is kind of making it seem like requesting for FCT Toggle is in the same line of cursing someone out. I mean my conversation literally maybe lasted 10 whole minutes and with the slowmode timer I probably had sent maybe 10-15 messages mostly asking general questions or making statements as to why I think FCT as a toggle would be a good idea.. how does that warrant a ban? Even if you agree FCT doesn't need to exist in game, how does my conversation warrant a ban? (or a silence in chat for 24 hours?)
Growlron I would ban you. IP ban, from the forums and the game. You are clearly just here to cause problems. And despite EXTREMELY above and beyond, explanations given to you by members and mods, you persist in fanning the flames. You have made it clear you have 0 intention of playing the game, have not played the game in months, and will discourage others from playing it. Respectfully, I hope they do ban you if you continue.
See. This right here is apparently who the team wants to hire as their GMs. Because guess what, Trent did basically everything he could to avoid responsibility, and make me look like I'm lying to invalidate his cockamamie reasoning for silencing me to begin with. I'm NOT here to cause problems, I have actual Youtube videos HYPING and talking about how I think MnM could be the next great MMORPG on my channel that I spent hours making. This is such an immature take to say that -- because someone is here making a complaint on a GM, and because I am here to continue reporting him for abuse of his power and make sure this event is recorded, that I am here just to start crap. Quite the contrary, I think if this game will succeed they need to look at the maturity level and the stress levels of their team and figure out who needs a break or who needs to move on to something else. There needs to be an open channel for this sort of thing, and this is the only one I have seen that is available. You are welcome to disagree. But this is the feedback and Support channel this GM has actively banned me from chatting from at this rate, and since also removed my beta access on the account. Trent is literally unhinged, emotionally invested in topics, over policing, and clearly compromised and another GM needs to address this, and see what's going on with GM_Trent.
Honestly I'd be willing to let this all slide if he apologized or throttled, but he doubled down and banned my account across the board even further.
If someone comes to a support channel (even if they are wrong) does it look good that the same GM they had this complaint about addresses and blocks, and bans them from playing? Looks like that needs to be addressed.
