Fix the Dissenchanting Cube

My input on this is that the Cube itself either needs to give it 6 slots like the other crafting bags IE: leather/cloth kits. Or make it fit in a belt pouch slot since it is only 1 slot and shouldn't take up much room. Similar to a lantern.

Other alternative is to let you use it from a main inventory slot. IE: Can't put it in another bag and use it.

Proffered method of fix: Make it a item like a seam ripper than you use in conjunction with the Enchanting book in order to disenchant items. Placing the cub in the enchanting book with the item to be disenchanted.

To use the seam ripper, the tailoring bag needs to be empty besides the seam ripper. The seam ripper takes up one inventory slot, and the tailoring bag takes up one bag slot, or can be carried in another bag when empty.

This is no different than the disenchanting cube except you have a built in seam ripper, as the bag can only have one item in it, the item to be destroyed, if you want it to function. It is actually more convenient this way because you only have to carry one thing around instead of the bag+ripper.

Just use a bigger bag in that slot until you need to disenchant.

I do not agree. First the cube only has 1 slot. If it only had 6 like other bags i might agree. The argument about it having a tool in it is void it is the too the whole cube itself is the tool. You can't craft with it. You can only break items so it is only a tool and not a crafting kit so should be treated as such.

If you want to make anything you have to get and equip a Enchanting book. So Why is this the only gathering profession that requires a extra bag slot to be wasted? The cube is meant to be taken with you not used when your home. That is what the crafting tables are for and yes there is a disenchanting one you just have to find it. 😛

Now if you just look at the cube as a tool like a ripper or smithy hammer then you have no extra bag space wasted. You put the cube into the enchanting book when you want to break a item and either remove it after or not it does not matter that the bag is remains empty until you want to enchant or break another item. In the meantime you have 6 slots minus the on taken by the cube like other crafting bags.

Tsunamisan Yeah I also don't agree with this, though it does take an inventory spot for me to swap it out on the fly, having a disenchant cube with 6 slots would be confusing to players who don't know the mechanic and might think you need 6 items to do some disenchanting which you don't need.

Only need 1 slot to disenchant so I say leave it as is.

...and this is why you should read the whole comment before replying, as an item like a seam ripper it wouldn't make any difference when taking up a slot for the cube anyway so yeah I would agree making it a tool for Enchanting book would be a better option

I was saying turn the cube into a tool and only use it with the enchanting book. Its not unreasonable . This is exactly how the other bags work. The limitations on having to put the cube in a bag slot is to much when its only 1 slot and could easily fit on your belt like a lantern

Also i was talking about the whole process. I consider the cube a gathering tool. It just works differently. Enchanting is also a intermediate profession. No day 1 player would jut jump into it even if they took the trait.

Also I can do without the snarky TLDR didn't read it all remarks. Sure you can take bigger bags but then there is no point of the cube at all since you cant swap a bag out with items in it to use the cube when your camping mobs.
