Ranger rework - mercy!

I thoroughly enjoy the current ranger toolset, its my highly preferred playstyle. Truestrike aura, tracking and dps/utility is plenty to contribute to groups. The druid spell line is very accommodating to a high quality of life adventure, despite the ranger versions being weak by "s tier" metrics. Some players dont care about being at the top of MnMcraft-logs speedruns, just that the adventure is fun.

Please reconsider the "de-hybridization", or at the very least just change the names of all the utility spells and keep the class a "b tier" swiss army knife. Its currently in such a nice unique playstyle spot🤣

I kinda disagree, it needs a good bit of work on the dps department. Nukes need to be able to be useful, like make it so the procs from the weapon imbues work with melee too so we can get insta cast nukes. Dots can be useful too, but they drain too much mana to be useful in group play, and honestly I prefer to just preserve mana when soloing so I dont use dots there either as they use too much mana. And our dps cooldown needs a serious rethink. Something with an hour long cooldown is ridiculous because it means its never used unless you are like me and finally just gave up caring about it and just use it on any generic named I fight and then dont have it for 2 to 5 named afterwards since its on cooldown. As for as everything else we can do, it and what I listed, no telling what will remain after revamp, so we will have to see. For all I know we won't have mana after the revamp, so stuff costing too much mana is no longer an issue.

Ahh i see, i havent shared any of those concerns or experiences. The current toolset and playstyle of this class feels very balanced and enjoyable as is for me personally. Im dreading all of the spell utility being removed and to be another insert-bigdps-nukes here instead.

The ranger currently doesn't even have a toolset. You just have a dull attack called "strike", a root, one fire spell, and SoW. That's it. It's just some cobbled together nonsense.

I feel like there is already plenty of "press many button big dps high combat APM" classes to choose from. I really like the spell utility answers to different places/situations and options for melee+ranged playstyle, so just hoping to persuade on preserving that. Also if that was your take away after playing ranger to 40+, i wonder if all you did was join LFM xp camps.

Swahv It doesn't have anything unique at all. You're just a bad druid with a taunt and chain mail. You have a snare, a root, and generic buffs. Fighting at range is only something worth doing when pulling or snare kiting when soloing. It has nothing.

Yes thats right, it has all of those options and it would be nice to not lose those generic buffs+spells that make exploring beyond a 6 man xp camp very enjoyable. The fighter/archer with an extra damage button would be tragic
