Mesh I won't assume malicious intent, but the fact remains that this factor does not exist now. Even if they add it, mez durations are still so massively OP that it's no reason to stack CHA. Only if charisma affects mez resist rate would it matter.

What matter in the initial resist chance on mez ? Character level vs target level ?

Mesh you MIGHT have an argument this was the case, had they not rushed all these changes pre EA and started working on it months ago when they pushed the first EA back. Not to mention having 100 replies in a class thread from a dev arguing that people were wrong, then it comes to light they were actually right all along and instead of acknowledging it, they just put changes through and never said a word about it, that just shows they have issues admitting they are wrong. I never said it was malicious, but it is decieving gaslighting people telling them they are wrong and then stealth patching the problem and never acknowledging it.

ENCHANTER, Stats Summary
Compiled from community threads and Discord. WIP, corrections welcome. Updated 23 Sep 2026.

CONFIRMED

INT and CHA both scale Enchanter spell damage, and they stack (additive). INT still works as always and affects damage; the CHA bonus is new and added on top. (Derelicte, Discord, 23 Sep 2026)
Enchanters remain INT casters: mana pool and mana regen come from INT only, not CHA. (Derelicte, Discord)
CHA now also gives a bonus to Runeskin. Overall CHA gear has real value beyond just charm, mez and lull now. (Derelicte, Discord)
CHA is used for Charm and Lull. (Official Enchanter deep dive)
Mez does not observably scale with CHA in play: at 200 CHA a 30s mez lasts exactly 30s, no early breaks reported. (Fell, in-game test)

UNCERTAIN / DISPUTED

CHA affecting mez, charm and lull duration: Xilith claimed on Discord it does ("impacts durations, not initial resists, been this way a while"), but Fell's 200 CHA test showed no duration change and no early mez breaks. Unresolved, treat as unconfirmed. (Xilith vs Fell)
How much each stat contributes to damage per spell line (INT vs CHA split) is confirmed to stack but not yet quantified.

Confirmed that both do affect damage, but the stats are on diferent scales. Swapping gear to lose -39 cha and add +36 int, for instance, had this effect:

Anguish: 750 -> 839 dmg
Mindshackle: 119/tick -> 134/tick (without the 50% bonus in both cases)

So int is substantially more valuable than cha for damage.... in addition to the extra mana / regen.

Let's hope that if they change something about stats weight in any class during EA, they will provide some way to adapt our Talents / Starting stats.

At this precise moment in time. But I created my EA toon with max CHA, for the simple reason I can't believe they'll leave it like this.

I wouldn't sweat it much either way though. By the time you're 40+, you'll be adding so much to those stats via gear that the effect of your starting choices will be trivial.

But what about Mez ? What makes the mez success or no ?
Is it player level vs mob level and magic resist ?

Yes -- but if you're trading INT for CHA, spell damage goes DOWN, not up with higher CHA.

CHA has zero effect on mez resist rate: both according to devs and my own testing. At least one dev has claimed CHA affects mez duration, but extensive testing hasn't shown this to be true.

Fell Well, i maxed CHA and put the rest in INT and took Magic Resistant.
It's 27 CHA and 26 INT on a Deep Gnome.
Could be 24 CHA and 29 INT if i max INT first.

I have a part of me that hope CHA will become more potent or have more weight in futur updates.
