Ranger Solo Post rework

I have found it to be hard because our dots just don't do much compared to the other skills we have. Making them useless imo so far.

I was soloing the bone carvers at lvl 22 in fp going the bleed stacks which totalled to 24dmg. Soloing as a ranger is very slow usually 3mins to kill. My method was rending cut, opening strike, rending cut then kite with sow until I had 2x arrow bleed in marksman stance. I think ill try the root method next time maybe the kill time will be faster

Meister That playstyle isn't gone, you just have to sacrifice damage for it. Last night I was split pulling with Maiming/Root, I just had to stay in Marksman stance for the Maiming snare effect. Most of my time was spent pulling instead of fighting anyway, so I didn't mind the damage hit as much.

That ability bar bloat though... that's not fun.

SUBJ3KT17 On beta as a ranger, I didnt care so much about my dps as I did about group safety. So I would constantly snare every mob inbetween dps'ing, I would taunt loose mobs that hadn't been mez'd or rooted yet, and would keep snare going on everything I considered dangerous that was snareable. I considered that my job as the puller and as your resident group ranger. Dps is nice, but guaranteeing no issues pops up is more important. This was very easy with castable spell snare, and I think I may lobby for rangers getting back spell snare.

Yeah i was devo'd with the spell cast snare removal, but i just giggled a bit at the hilarity of reading how rangers will be masters of snares and then making them worse at it; adapted and forgot about it. Overall class still very fun to explore with so happy days.

As for solo, if you dont just mindlessly stack strength you can facetank slightly lower mobs with ease, all the way into mid 40s.
