A little while back i was grouped with another bst, i had a croc and he had a wasp and we were very close in level, maybe 52 and 53 or something like that. I remember mentioning that my croc was occasionally critting for just a little over 100 after using chop, he then said that his wasp's max crits were about 10 dmg higher. I assume their attack speeds are the same. This basically means that at higher levels and for the high end of hits there is about a 9.5-10% difference in dps between tank and dps pets, not sure if it scales the same all the way down. This matches Faelin's numbers pretty well with 94sec and 103sec kill times for the two varieties using untamed. Considering the fact that the player is supposed to be doing a little more than half of total dmg this might come to around a 4% difference in combined dps output. If you're in a group where neither of you are really taking aggro this would probably be the most important factor but if you're soloing or the pet is tanking for the group then whichever pet takes less dmg and holds aggro the best would win out.
