Very well said regarding the throttle for mana transfer being the mana WE have as an enchanter. I was a die hard "no charm" guy (I have nothing against it, it just wasn't my preferred playstyle), and I used mana transfer constantly. I built my enchanter around a larger mana pool so I could consistently keep healers and wizards, etc. going in a fight. The groups I was in LOVED how much I fed them mana and I really enjoyed providing that utility consistently.
I also leaned heavily on Enchant Ally. I too was totally baffled by the removal of that ability. I can understand waiting to make further changes on it, but taking it out altogether? That caught me completely off guard. It wasn't the most exciting ability in the world, which is why I had high hopes that Enchant Ally would turn out to be a more expansive and varied spell line in this rework. My groups loved it when I put enchant ally on them and I was hapy to maintain it and even had quick press key binds for the arrow shot and shields and kept those going through at fight while also managing mez's, feeding people mana, and controlling a pet all the while weaving in debuffs and mana burns on targets.
For me at least, that was a super fun playstyle, and I felt like it really boosted the groups I was in.
I'm still happy with most of the changes to Enchanter, there is some nice QoL in there. But the 30 sec CD on mana transfer, the lack of a consolidated melee buff as a counterpart to Sagacity, and the removal of Enchant Ally are things that I think should be readdressed sooner than later.
