Nullus We are here because we want BETTER EQ. Newer, modern built, respectful of the vision, EQ.
We were sold on the vision of a new universe based on EQ, DnD, Classic MuD MMOS.
The VAST majority of the community are old EQ players.
We want it to feel like fresh EQ. Not, a check list of fuck what EQ did.
Great example here.. I think bear form shapeshifting in EQ was stupid. Its not shaman. Its druid bullshit.
When NWC said they were removing it, I was like.. HELL YA! Then they back tracked. They took away our pet, which NO ONE WANTED. We have been asking for an improved spirit companion for years. And now we get to do a class quest to get a bear form, that shouldnt exist.
We liked how the shaman played in EQ.. thats why we played it. We wanted that, tweaked with new flavor.
Remove some of the nonsense. Id love if they ACTUALLY did what they said and focused on DoT dmg. Remove all DD and make shaman a DoT caster. That departs from EQ.
Turning shaman into a SHITTIER druid, is NOT what we asked for or wanted. Its not fun. Its not shaman.
I suggested a totem mechanic and a spirit world mechanic. Things that did not exist in EQ that would give the shaman a more unique identity.
All these other classes are getting MAJOR NEW MECHANICS.. and shaman is just getting shit on. One update after another.
This 2nd pass on canni, seemingly is good. And I figured they would balance it or figure out a solution to fix how bad they over reacted to our mana economy.
